Exeter born and bred ,he is a skilled carpenter..learning his trade in college and as an apprentice.
He has worked in London on house renovations and at the Paris Fashion Exhibitions, creating sets for the stunning shows they hold there.
Later,on returning to Exeter he started his own business which he ran successfully for over twenty years ... Now, in recent years he has discovered the joys of sourcing and upcycling furniture... travelling to Auction rooms and trips to France keep him busy searching for Vintage treasures!!
He is a master of combining traditional methods with inventive and slightly wild approaches to create exciting,original reinvented pieces.
Easy going and approachable ,he is always very willing to share trade secrets and his wealth of experience with any one who asks !!

Painted furniture ( and other things!) for around 25 years..began my career as a Visual Merchandiser ..(it was called window dresser and display artist in my day !!!) For the Selfridge Group.
Worked in Interior Design specialising in colour schemes... and for B&Q for two years as Decorative Effects advisor .
Trained at Bicton College of Agriculture in Devon and with Paula Pryke in London as a florist , before opening my own florist shop in Topsham ( Piccalily ....Flowers to Relish ) which I ran successfully for nearly six years.
Inspired by my dad....a professional painter and decorator with 'old school standards,values and talent ....now following in my father's brush strokes !!
